We let cats make
the business decisions.
Most pet brands pick products based on margins. We pick them based on purrs.
It started with one frustrating Amazon order.
We bought a "highly-rated" water fountain for our cat Harmony. She sniffed it once, walked away, and never looked at it again. $45, wasted. Sound familiar?
The reviews were fake. The "vet approved" badge was meaningless. The product was designed for a warehouse shelf, not for a real cat in a real home.
So we started testing products ourselves — with Harmony as our first (and harshest) critic. When friends started asking "what should I buy for my cat?", we realized we could turn this into something bigger.
MeowTested was born: a cat product company where real cats vote on what gets sold.
What we believe
The cat's opinion is the only one that matters
If a cat won't use it, we don't sell it. No exceptions, no overrides, no "but the margin is great." The cat decides.
Transparency builds trust
Every product has a public scorecard. We publish our test data, our tester feedback, and our rejection rates. If you want to know why we sell something, the numbers are right there.
Fewer products, higher standards
We'd rather sell 3 products we're proud of than 300 products we haven't tested. Our catalog is small on purpose.
Meet the founding testers
The cats who started it all — and who still have final say on everything we sell.
Harmony
Chief Testing Officer
11 years old · Calico
Notoriously picky. If Harmony uses a product for more than 5 minutes, it passes internal review. Her 14-minute grooming glove session is still a company record.
Tipper
Director of Destruction Testing
7 years old · Orange Tabby
Breaks everything. If a product survives Tipper for two weeks, it's durable enough for any cat. Her 47-pounce squirrel session is legendary.
